Style Du Jour: Kim Kardashian

Last week I took a look at Kate Moss’ style- this week I want to give stylicious props to Kim Kardashian. My fav reality star! (I swear this chick is black lol)

With a BANGING body, Kim continues to amaze me with her simple but VERY chic fashion choices. I like Kim’s style because it’s very much like my own, minus the Loubies, Balencia bags, Chanel clutches, YSL tribute pumps, and beautiful expensive dresses…. I’m a simple girl but I still come across chic.  Kim’s can make a pair of jeans and a blazer look so chic and Very sexy.

But to our surprise, Kim shops at H&M for clothes and Forever 21 for her accessories.

Take a look at some of my favorite looks of her from red carpet events, to night on the town, to pumping gas….

Kim has been working this strong trend we witnessed on the runways lately, the asymmetrical look. This look is one of those oldie but goodie trends- but Kim rocks it well. The asymmetrical look is very sexy- remember ladies the shoulders get love too! Being sexy doesn’t mean to show off the twins or hiking the skirt up to your… well you know what…. Lol

Kim loves her LBD dress, but what makes every LDB debut different from the last- the silhouette. Ladies try to not opt of the same LDB silhouette. Switch it up- go for one shoulder, Tube dress, Sweet-heart neckline, Long, Short,… well you get my drift.

Kims loves her white dress, I was never a fan of white dresses, but Kim makes me re-think. Not saying I will opt for a white dress, but I will no longer turn them down without a try.

Every woman should own a black blazer. It screams chic and you can pair your blazer with ANYTHING and the result is Uber dopeness.

Style Du Jour: Kate Moss

This 5’7” style icon is one of my Favs…. Not only because she is a style maniac, but she broke all barriers- despite her drug antics a few years ago- Kate is soo DOPE!!!

Check out some of her fit choices.

I love the Black tight Kate pairs with her dresses.  I'm sooo into the Power shoulders- as you can see on this blog.  I'm always giving you guys options.

I HEART the lace long sleeve dress- I have been looking for one for 2 years now, but I always come across some that look cheap- anyone have any suggestions???

HEART the flat patent leather loafer and Dark sunnies!!!
ALL BLACK EVERYTHING!!! lol

See a common factor south of the ankles- Classic black pump!!!
Ladies this is a staple that I should be able to navigate with no doubt in your closet.

Ok ok ok, I do not have a black pump in my closet!! I KNOW shame on me- but I DID!!! I just threw a lot of shoes away before my move and my black pump was one of them!


Don’t you worry- I am treating myself to a great pair of Red Bottoms for Christmas- yes chile… I have to save and cop me a pair- hahahah I wanted to get a good boot, but if I am going to take that plunge I should invest in a good staple. The great thing is, the pump is not that much- I might get a pair before Christmas- maybe next month :)

Style Du Jour: Rihanna during Paris Fashion Week

I know you guys were expecting this... how could I not post RihRih's style during Paris Fashion week.

Let's just say this damn walking mannequin was searving it on a platinum platter this week!!!!

Me and my bff were looking on the Christian Louboutin website this weekend and spotted these stems in Gray (Ni Toi Ni Moi 120 Boots)!!! Heart the royal blue colorway!

I'm going to invest in some Red Bottom ankle boots this year- maybe that will be a Christmas gift to myself! :)

I hear Rihanna was attending Paris Fashion Week to find her look for her upcoming album cover!!!

Talking about pimping!!!

Mariel Haenn- her stylist- just tweeted today- something about she can go into all her fav designer's showrooms and just grab whatever she wants.... HEAVEN!!!!

I swear I will get there one day....

I'm such a clothes whore- thats all i think about...

Don't judge me! lol

Her look is actually very easy to pull off- if you notice- it's her bold accessories and great shoe choice that make the statements.

I've learned-All black is cool- but when adding some cool accessories, great shoe, some texture to your jackets/blazer, adding some shoulder power- it makes your all black fit come alive!

I'm so voting these two couple of the Year!!!

I see everyone is on the All Black Everything Wave!!! I can dig it!

Peep Ye's blazer, tee and jean combo! Loves it. I heart how Ye mixes and matches two different styles and create a look... Sort of how Justin Timberlake is styled. Ye can take a jean and pair it with a Blazer and V-neck tee and manages to stay chic.

The secret to achieving this look is finding the best fit blazer, tee and jean. Finding a pair of jeans that are not too baggy- you will loose the chic factor and loose the proportion to the blazer. Making sure the tee is not too long and just hitting the hip. Lastly making sure the shoulder seam of the blazer does not exceed your shoulders, the arm of the blazer hits your wrist and the length of the blazer does not resemble a night gown. Great styling tip for the fellas!

Ooh what can I say about my girl crush- in her usual tight spandex dress and a bad a** leather jacket with pointy toe ankle boots. HAWT!

Style Du Jour: Kate Lanphear during Fashion Week

Kate Lanphear is not a stranger to my blog. If you do not know who this woman is- she is the Style Director of Elle Mag (My fav magazine... all you Vogue lovers do not hate me... I appreciate Vogue- but I love Elle sooo much more)

Talk about All Black Everything!!!

I love the proportions of her fit. The cropped leather jacket paired with a long drappy tee adds a messy but sexy touch to her outfit. Skinny jeans and high ankle boots are always a go!!!!
