First let me start off by sending my condolences and ackoweldge a great lost to the fashion world.... A man who expressed much creatity and innovation... designer Alexander McQueen...

Despite how is short life ended, his legacy will definitely live on....

PS. Speaking of Usher did anyone catch Usher during the All-Star game opening... highly disappointed.... I really wanted him to come back in the game and kill it... but I think he lost is swag! SMH

Dope Style: Stars Love Lanvin High Tops

The Hip Hoppers LOVE Lanvin Sneaks!!!!

I do too!!! I posted Lanvin sneaks before- but I want to emphasis... if you can... splurging on footwear is essential especially a timeless classic silhouette, for example a Loubie Black pump. The black pump WILL NEVER go out of style.
Another example the Lanvin High Top sneaker- this silhouette of a sneaker will NEVER go out of style. If you are wise and invest in a neutral color (Black, white, beige, grey) you will be able to break these sneakers out years to come.

Jay-z, Jermaine Dupri, Kanye and Usher all love the Lanvin High-tops....
EVEN our First Lady Michelle Obama :)

I Heart these denim ones.

What I like about these sneakers is it's a versatile sneaker. You can actually throw these sneakers on with ANYTHING- sweats, trousers, jeans, etc.

I do not mean run out and purchase a pair of Lanvins, my point is investing in timeless pieces- signature pieces, so this is not limited to Lanvin, but I mean fashion sneakers, like, Kenneth Cole have great fashion high top sneakers, Gucci, Louie, etc.

P.S you can always wait for the Barney's Warehouse sale to cop you a pair of Lanvins at a recessionisto price tag :)

Dope Style: MAN Accessories

Hey Stylistos,

I always get asked... Which Male celebrity style you like the best?

There is always a toss up with alot of swaggerful dudes. I like T.I's country polo/laid back style; Kanye's ability to take risks and be "great" style (lol); Andre 3000 over the top gentleman's style; Diddy's cool style; Fonsworth Bentley's clean cut style; Terrence J's street style (Yes I must admit, he has that cool street wear swag down packed, I actually appreciate how he dresses, and I know he is not a "celebrity"); and Jay-Z's hood/blue yankee style (back in his pre-nuptial days).

That's just to name a few, I know there is more but I can't think of any more right now.

But the one who consistently keeps me smiling and approving his looks, is
Usher.

His signature uniform: V-neck Tee, leather jacket, Cool ass pair of Sunnies, and some cool boots always a plus... always cool, laid-back and sexy.

I always admired his cool choices in accessories. Usher makes it cool for a dude to throw on a leather bracelet, a ring, or a necklace that is not "Iced out" and not get the "gay" label.
