Fashionista VS. Recessionista: Balmain
Hey readers-
Another edition of Recessionista VS. Fashionista- but this week I flipped it- it's Fashionista VS. Recessionista.
I swoon over Balmain and I pray some nights one day I would be able to be fortunate enough to cop one of these babies- but the recessionista option is not half bad, it's actually kind of cute! At a smashing $85.00- why the hell not!
Head over to YesStyle to see other colorways.
which one is your pick?

In the left I have the celeb FAV denim Balmain Jacket. Rihanna stunned on-lookers as she strutted the streets being snapped in the Denim power shoulder jacket.
In the Right we have a very cute look alike from YesStyle.com

Recessionista VS Fashionista: Thigh High Boots

Stylisyas!!!!
This week of Recessionista VS. Fashionista it's the battle of the Thigh High Boots!!!
In the Left corner we have Jeffrey Campbell "Issue" over the knee boot battling height weight champ Stella McCartney Perforated thigh high boot.
This is going to be a tough one... both are actually very cute!!!
If you are any kind of shoe junkie- you and many other fashion heads were swooning over RihRih when she flaunted these beautiful Stella stems.
For a fraction of the price you can get your Rihanna on and strut with the Jeffrey Campbell inspired boots.
Which do you prefer? *I'm for the Stella- only because I love leather and the metal detail in the heel... but I would NEVER drop $1,600 for them*
Until Next Time

I love this section of Search. Style. Snap. It's a time to look at our favorite designer pieces in a recession friendly version. Let's be real, you do not have to spend a whole lot of money to get high end fashion.
In these times people are not spending large wads of doe on clothes!... Just not happening!
What do you guys think? Which version gets your vote?

Recessionista VS. Fashionista: Balmain Inspiration
Hey Stylistas,
As my newly style blog begins to evolve, I am still brainstorming great sections for you guys.
Today I am introducing a new section of Search.Style.Snap that I call:
If you are a girl into fashion and love this trend, but can't really afford the $1900 shoes, opt for the Steve madden version. Zara and BeBe also have their versions of the Balmain Studded sandals.

Recessionista Vs. Fashionista
Let's be real folks, there are people in this fashion world who can afford the high designer labels; like celebrities, trust fund babies, and royalty. Then you have REAL people who can not afford the higher end fashion; like Jane, Joe, working class, and myself... lol I find nothing wrong with the recession friendly price of a design inspired piece. I am not suggesting purchasing Fakes, but inspiration pieces, I'm sooo for. If you do not have $1,900 for your Balmain studded stems, why not opt for the Steve Madden version.

If you can afford the Balmain shoes, and I mean AFFORD, like you can pay your rent, car note, insurance, groceries, cell phone bill and you have enough to purchase these beautiful shoes and still have cash left over to play with, knock yourself out and pleasure your feet with the highly raved about stems.
