OMG!!!!

I never got a bikini wax before, but I'm thinking of getting one for my Miami trip next month.

All of my girlfriends has gotten one but me... I'm a punk! I'm sorry, the general consensus is that it hurts like F*ck! but I’m ready to face my fears and get one.

I was on surfing the web and came across this baby…

Bare Ease, which was developed by anesthesiologist Dr. Edna Ma, is a kit marketed for “ouchless” bikini waxing.

Yes a cream that lasts for 30minutes to an hour to give you a numb labia! Lol I know that sounds a little nasty, but think about it… your little girls down there are numb while the mean lady applies hot wax and stripe you naked… that sounds like a plan to me…

It seems pretty easy, you smear the contents of the single-use tube of cream all over the “desired area” about 30 minutes prior to your wax. Then pull on the included pink disposable panties, which will keep your clothes clean and keep the medicine concentrated in the appropriate spot. The anesthetic effect lasts 30 minutes to one hour.

Bare Ease uses a 4% lidocaine cream, which is a popular and safe topical anesthetic. (It’s used in hospitals for things like numbing skin before inserting IV’s, in derm’s offices before painful laser procedures, and in tattoo parlors.)

Of course if you have super sensitive skin, always consult your dermatologist or even your gyno, but this sounds pretty sweet… no?

I’m going to try it!

This thing called "motherhood" is sooo draining.... but its one of the best things that has ever happened to me...

Currently I'm looking to get a really cute NY Knicks tee. How excited is everyone to know that the NY Knicks made the playoffs!!!!
I'm soo excited, tho we lost Game 1 to the Boston Celtics, nonetheless it was a great game....

Balmain creates their first eyewear designs with the help of L.A. based eyewear company Oliver Peoples for Spring 2010. These dope thangs are called Balmain I ($595). The limited edition Balmain I is a pair of unisex style sunglasses that feature large teardrop shaped lenses and a metal top bar that extends back to form the temples.

D.I.Y Proenza Schouler

Hey ladies-

When I first seen the Spring/Summer 2010 Proenza Schouler show I was amazed. The tomboyish/girlie pieces and the modern day tie dye is SICK!

When I came across WhoWhatWear daily's article on how to D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) I was like wow- I have to do this and put you guys on....

I thought this was amazing becuase to bless your skin with the beautiful PS diggs will run you an equivalent price tag of your rent... NO BUENO!!! You do not have to pay alot to look fabulous!

Check out a step by step guide to creating your very own Proenza Schouler inspired tie dye top!!!

HORIZONTAL STRIPE SHIRT WITH RAGLAN DETAIL

Ingredients:
-Rubber Gloves
- Tulip Tie Dye ($5) in Black, Blue, and Yellow
-American Apparel Sheer Jersey Long Sleeve Tee ($26)

Directions:
1. Lay the shirt down on a flat surface. Insert a piece of cardboard in between the layers, so the dye does not bleed through from the front to the back!
2. Spray sides of the shirt with the Yellow fashion dye creating two outer panels of color.
3. Spray the middle section of the shirt with the darker contrasting color (in this case, the Blue fashion dye). It's ok if the color overlaps a little bit we think the bleeding looks cool!
4. Let it dry flat (for approximately thirty minutes; it's ok if it's a bit damp, as it will help the color bleed) and repeat first three steps on the backside of the shirt.
5. Once it has dried, gather the shirt in very thin vertical sections, grabbing from the neck and the bottom of the shirt (to create an accordion effect!)
6. Finally, make thin horizontal lines with the Black fashion dye (with tip applicator) across the gathered accordion surface using the tip of your tie dye bottle nozzle. Repeat on the sleeves.
7. Again, our master crafter recommends you wait for the shirt to dry for three days before washing, according to the directions on the tag. For peace of mind, wash it in like colors or all by itself first!

Witht he spring upon us... This is something I'm definitely trying- especially with different colors as well....

GONE TOO LONG!

Hey readers-

OMG can't believe I have not updated the blog in a month! :(
I've been receiving alot of text messages, BBM's, emails, facebook messages, and twitter messages asking whats up with me....

Well alot have been going on in my life... one of the biggest changes is I moved into a very chic super duper cute new pad. You can imagine how exhausting and time consuming getting settled in is.

I'm not done with every room, but I'm getting there..... So before you guys cuss me out.... I have a reason.... :)

Whats up with everyone? How was everyone's Valentine's Day. Mine was fabulous and relaxing. Saturday I went out to a Thai restaurant and to the new bowling alley in Williamsburg Brooklyn- didn't do any bowling because it was a zoo- but we posed for a cute Vday pic...

Yes your eyes are not playing tricks on you- I'm going a little longer than usual... I'm so tired of the short hair cut, I actually miss my long locks- I'm growing back my hair.

Saturday I went for the all black sexy look with my trustee cropped leather jacket, long stacked pearls, black bootcut jeans and my Bebe black and white oxford/wing tip 5inch lace ups. Modern classic look....

Sunday hung out in the house shopped for a couch and made a great meal... Some may say that is boring but I was very pleased by my valentines day!

Quick question- Im eyes are beginning to get puffy- anyone know the best product to get rid of that... that is sooo not brining sexy back... lol

Spring Trend: Navy, White, Red, & Stripes

Winter is here and live, however in the stores you might start to notice Spring collections through out your favorite stores. It's time to quit with the winter shopping.... and start to look towards Spring because it's going to be fun!!!

When you are sitting down writing out your Spring shopping list.... Aim for nauticals.
This might not be such a surprise to some people- like myself... I heart nauticals. Nautical inspired colors, stripes, accessoies are my go to for Spring... but it seems like the nauticals have took its turn and its all over this Spring.

Remember Chanel Resort 2010 collection--- filled with Nauticals---- and you guys know how the high fashion world works....Our Fashion High ends set the tone and everyone else follows suit....

I had a dream I was wearing a stripe shirt lastnight- I thinking about fashion- even in my sleep...

I would pair this long sheer cashmere stripe sweater with some dope wide leg white pants, or even white skinny jeans and red ballerina shoes...

I love the sleeve details in this red stripe tee.... I would pair this with some denim and white loafers... Im not a fan of white shoes... it all depends on how they look.

Stylistos... I like the stripe pocket long sleeve tee- I would definitely go J.Crew flow and pair with some white chinos rolled up at the bottom- dont knock it til you try it!

The racerback tank is very cute and can be paired with a great school girl blazer and white shorts... too cute

Fellas- a basic sail boat graphic tee is great with a destressed denim jacket...

To get great nautical style- try some dope dresses and pants

I LOVE THESE DONNA KAREN STRIPE WIDE LEG PANTS.... SOOO DOPE! I would keep it simple- great sheer tank and school girl navy blazer and cute fashion flats.... preferably red.

This is sooo cute- spotted it on Polyvore. So girlie.

Great dress to spend a nautical spring day... you can dress this down with some white low top converse sneaks to dress it up with a red clutch and some killler sandals.

Great nautical inspired sweaters

Cavi has some great cardys, this stripe navy and white cardy is great fellas.... you can do this real cute to execute great nautical style.

I heart the texture for this sweater creating a nautical stripe effect. Great for a spring night.

I love guys in stripe hoodies... they seem so cool and laid back.

To get a nautical look you can opt for some nautical inspired footwear... go for stripe sneakers like converses, or solid blue sandals.

Like footwear- you can change your fit from boring to nautical with stripe handbags and totes..

Accessories are a great way to sport your nautical style.... like boat pendants, red, withe or blue watches, and anchor earrings.

When I think about nautical stripes and nautical style.. I automatically think about great sail boats and fishermen... Fishermen have great nautical style too... and they dont even know it... lol

Lastly.... Vacation is the GREAT place and time to sport your nautical style....

My New Year's Style Resolution

Hey sexy readers...

Tomorrow is New Years- the time to leave EVERYTHING behind, look infront of you and start over. I always say, "Its time to press the reset button". Despite my many New Year's goal, I have a couple of Style goals I want to accomplish this year.....

1. Take more risks

As my style evolves and my fashion knowledge expands I will like to start to take more style risks. I'm currently in between the safe zone and trendy. I'm not super trendy, but I also keep it safe with my color choices and silhettoes.

The one risk I did take this year was chop my hair off!!!!! I WENT FROM LONG HAR TO A BOB TO CHOPPING IT ALL OFF!!! This year I'm taking alot more risks :)

2. Get more into Make-up

I want to take a beauty class and learn how to apply make-up. Though My skin is very sensitive and I do not like to wear alot of it, I would love to learn how to mix different colors and explore the different techiniques.

3. Expand my bag and accessory collection.

When I was working for Coach I purchased sooo many bags, once I left, I stopped caring about handbags. This year I'm going to invest in some awesome handbags.

Now that accessory can make or break your ouftit or turn it from simple to tres chic.... I want to build my accessory wardrobe.

4. Complete my styling Certificate

F.I.T has this dope Styling certificate program where you learn how to style (well not really learn how to, either have the eye or you don't) , teaches you about image branding, movie and television styling, the professor is a professional stylist, and you get real life styling assignments, just to name a few.... pretty cool huh?

5. Launch my clothing line

This is a HUGE secret but this is something I want to explore this year... It's been in hold for that pass 2 years now, but I'm finally gonna jump. Can't expand on this... it's hush hush (my partner might kill me when she reads this) but I will share more later... keep me in your prayers!

6. Expand Search. Style. Snap.

I want to make my blogspot into a .com. I have been very hesitant in doing so because I do not want to be a "blogger" I want to do a blog. The sole purpose of my blog was to expose REAL style, give style advice, and share my fashion thoughts. But with the responses I have gotten, the comments, the side bars on facebook, myspace and even BBM of readers telling me how much they really loved reading and visitng my blog... I think it's only fair I continue to grow it and take this fashion journey with you guys.
This Year I will post my style, have more features, more how to wear posts, complete more male posts, and interact with you all more. My lover (hahah inside joke) told me he see big things with my blog- my BFF demanded I put more effort into my blog... and I'm going to take their advice.

I want to thank everyone who reads my blog on a daily, weekly, monthly, once in awhile basis. I want to thank everyone who appreciates my post, comments, and take the advice n inspiration I give. I live and breathe fashion and when I get genuine comments or feedback from you guys... it's makes me proud that I have inspired atleast one of you.

With this new year beginning, it's the year of no holding back, leaving issues in 2009 back in 2009, starting over and taking leaps. I have two MAJOR projects brewing for 2010 and I'm so excited. So my words to you is Become your dreams this year. Take that leap... if you are someone who wanted to travel.... pull out that passport and get those stamps... if you always wanted to be a stylist or fashion editor or even designer... do what it takes and get there. If it doesn't work... atleast you can go on and say... "I Tried, and had a fabulous time doing it" :)

I hope 2010 is WAAAY more fabulous than 2009.

These are pretty dope- The suede and leather mix gives the sneaker a high fashion appeal- which I greatly appreciate.

I always think its sexy when girls are into sports. Sitting courtside doing it like a Bawss, or box seats at a football game drinking beer in a pair of loubies or even ring side checking out a boxing match! I think its cool- but I always think to dress for the occasion- tone it down but still keep it feminine.

This pass week Ciara and Rihanna attended some bball games and both brought their styles…

I’m actually digging Cici’s style. I love her laid back/I’m going to a bball game style. She pulls off her backwards fitted. I like the leather vest, lace-up boots, aviator sunnies, and tights! Great courtside style.

Model Madness: Tao Okamoto

As I deep dive into fashion more and study the culture- models are becoming more and more interesting to me- their ability to transiform a simple look to tres chic is very cool. Before I never cared about models and never realized their imporant contribution to fashion. *I think it's because this new movement of using celebrities to sell a brand rather than models- I don't really know or can not regnozie alot of models by face* I also think the phenomenon of all these model search shows and definitely Top Model has me looking at models in a different way. So I will try to post my fav model at the moment once a week.

The first model I am shouting out is Tao Okamoto. It's the mushroom cut and her red boots. She is one of my favorite models.

She is definitely a stylista- always looks amazing and never really tries.

I was on upscalehype and they posted a cool 5-panel fitted hat designed by Ibn Jasper- Kanye's image consultant- I posted about him a couple of weeks ago-

He joined forces with Quintin hat company to design a 5 panel hat- inspired by Ye's LV sneaks. Ibn describes the hats as being “clean and classy and for the person who wants a nice hat without it looking like a baseball cap”. The hats will be made available exclusively at RSVP Gallery in Chicago on December 15th.

At one point I was a hat girl- I wore a hat almost every day- even when my hair was done- I still love hats- but I do not wear as much. I would TOTALLY rock this cap! iots pretty dope!

Random Fashion Thoughts: Fashion and Cigarettes

You guys know by now I am a fashion junkie, magazine reading, styling editorial whore.... I love analyzing and looking at great styling editorial shoots. What I've been wondering is the cigarette posing. I HATE cigarettes and would never use them in my shoots. I'm just trying to find the connection- Cigarettes actually give you yellow teeth, bad breathe, makes your clothes smell, dark circles around the eyes, lung cancer, etc.... none of which is synonymous with fashion and beauty... lmao...

So it boggles my mind when you have great editorials- then stick a cigarette into the model's mouth... hmmm...

Are cigarettes high fashion???? Does this bring a "cool" factor into the shoot???

Very weird...

Though you will not see as much of editorials with cigarette props nowadays- maybe because of the banning of public smoking in restaurants and all the "Stop Smoking" campaigns- it is slowly moving out of the fashion world- but I still see a few.... you should be non-existent!!!

Holiday peepers should dazzle and sparkle. Bringing attention to your eyes really ups your glam factor! It's a great time to play around with extra eye enhancing accessories ie. faux lashes, glitter, colorful liners, etc.. Plus, depending on your amount of cocktail consumption, you don't have to worry about retouching, as apposed to sporting a bold lip!

Here are some fun choices to play around with for your Holiday outings:

For starters....

Urban Decay Shadow Primer Potion ($17.00)

*I have mentioned this product before and the cult following that it has. It really is a key player to maintaining your eye looks. Think about it...don't we prime our walls before we apply the paint? It's because primer acts as an adhesive, provides longer wear and a better color payoff to the finished product. Whether you have oily, combination or dry skin, the eyelid produces oil that, without a barrier between your skin and your make up, will "bleed" through your shadow. As a result, your eyeshadow will crease, thin out and become very sheer or eventually (depending on the shade) disappear. Don't waste your time creating a beautiful eye look that doesn't last past your first cocktail! Take the extra 5 seconds....it's totally worth it!

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer ($16.50)

* Another great trick for fab eyes is using a full coverage concealer on top of your primer. I use a MAC concealer, but you can use one that works best for you. Just make sure that it has a matte finish and that the color blends seemlessly. I like MAC's because it is highly concentrated (a little goes a long way) and it contains Silica, which is an oil absorber (I'm SUPER oily). Not only does this act as an additional barrier, but it also evens out the eyelid (discolorations, birthmarks, etc) giving you a bare canvas to apply your color. The silver flecks makes it that more fun!

Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Gel Eyeliner in Ocean Teal ($22.50)

*This gel eyeliner comes with its own brush. The beautiful, teal color is flattering on all eye colors. You can keep the rest of the lid bare or apply a neutral shadow for a bit more contrast. I would apply the line very neat and thin on the upper and/or lower lash lines. It's great for someone who just wants to try a pop of color to bring more focus to the eyes.

*I LUV LUV LUV Pigments! I can't even pinpoint a specific color. Pigments are highly concentrated loose powders; one jar will last you FOREVER!! They come in a rainbow of shades that really "pop" on the eyes. You can mix them together and use them wet or dry. Apply them with a tight bristle brush for bolder color or with a looser brush for just a wash of color.

I was over at Upscalehype and they posted this FUNKY. DOPE. FRESH. US Marine Corp Dress Coat.
I GASP when I seen it- I want it for myself. Dudes get your patriotic flow on. The great thing about this coat- you can customize it to fit your style or personality. Add some cool patches change the buttons.... (tht's what I would do)
Upscale is saying this jacket cost $247 thats not bad....

Winter Fashion: Puffer jackets for HIM

I WANT TO FIRST APOLOGIZE IF I OFFEND ANYONE WHO HAS A MONCLER... BUT IM SOOOO TIRED OF THEM!!!!! HARLEM AND BK RAN THAT COAT INTO THE GROUND. I'm not going to front I was loving the Monclers- but I was not hip to spending 700-1000 dollars for one. I just thought it wasn't worth it.

And I'm not saying do not wear your Moncler!!! cuz those are 700 a pop... but fellas- just know there are other Puffer jackets out there.... Like..

I'm not a fan of Armani Exchange- I use to be when I was in High School- but this puffer is cute- I like the diagnal two tone detail in this puffer jacket. Very Cute!

D&G is always the MOVEMENT!!

This Patagonia is a great Mustard option for you fellas- get some color in your Winter wardrobe- your Puffer can be great colors- I like the small scale bubbles as well. Great for a snowy day in New York.

Stylistos: The Supreme

Hey Stylistos…

I have not forgotten about you… I was over at Supreme to see what’s popping and I seen some pretty dope jackets, hats and plaid shirts.

I always liked a guy on a pom pom knit hat. I don’t know- always thought they were cute. I heart the Gucci pom pom- but once EVERY dude in BK rocked them- had to go to the next…. Lol

Supreme have some cute and fun options to attack the pom pom hat game.

I'm not a fan of LOGOs printed across garments- but in this instance- I'm feeling it! pom pom hats are GREAT with parker jackets or Puffer Vests- in some style situations- I like the pom poms with Puffer jackets as well-

The last row of pom poms scream collegiate and rugby to me-

I think everyone needs a parker jacket, especially a dude. It's great for the cold/bad weather- like rain and snow and you can endure the moist weather in style.

I am a jacket girl and I think everyone needs options.... I like this coat for an option coat- not a main go to coat- there is a difference. I like the red puffer and yellow- reminds me of old school Nautica and Polo.

I HEART these flannel plaid shirts. I think guys look soo cute in their flannel shirts. So cute with a parker or puffer vest :)

Drake was snapped at his viddy shoot rocking a Supreme varsity jacket- you guys know how I feel about the varsity jackets- VERY DOPE for guys :)

Winter Fashion: Yellow Coats

Another item on my winter checklist is a winter coat. Now if you seen my winter coat closet section you would roll your eyes at me and say I don't need another coat- but I do it every year- I purchase atleast 3-4 coats every year... and this year- I want one of my winter coats to be a yellow one.

I'm not really the "Yellow" girl... but I've seen some cute options. The great thing about yellow- you can pair it up with black (but watch your balance you can be mistaken for a bee) grey, navy, and creme.

Another bright hue for the winter ladies is Eletric blue!!!
Keep an eye out on these two colors :)

I was on rihannadaily.com (as always... on my style stake out) and Rih Rih had a dope Trapper on...

Rihanna was snapped in London doing her one two thing sporting a cute Trapper and her favorite Rick Owens jacket.

Which got me thinking about my winter trapper... Hmmmm.... I already have 2- but they are a little out dated.
Atrium has a couple of good quality.
And dont sleep on the street vendors- they have amazing Trapper options

My girlfriend has a FABULOUS mink Trapper!!! I've been trying to buy her hat from her for the pas 2 years- hopefully this year I will win her over!! hahahah

Lastnight our favorite walking style "now talking" mannequin was honored, along with other fabulous women, by Glamour magazine as 2009 Woman of the Year.

Rihanna looked UBER fabulous!!! Some of the bloggers ragged on her for this dress but this dress is DOPE!!!!

Rihanna is serving it in this gown. I love the orgami details... some of the best details of this dress is the sheer back, exposed zipper and small pockets.... yo this dress is soooo dope!!!!

Miss Thang was spotted hitting up an after party in another godess flowy soft pink- skin tone frock and some red bottoms to match!

Rihanna is rocking the new trend that we seen during the Spring/Summer 2010 runways... Sheer!!! *dont say I aint never tell yall the fashion scope....lol *

Ok so was there a call for nude/skin tone/soft pink for this Glamour Event.

My brownskin Twin * I heart Kerry- she is undispputedly dope* Tho I have seen her look way better- Kerry opt for the soft pink/nude hue and light fresh makeup.

Tho they are sold out everywhere- Free People have a great version to the uber chic Chloe boot.

I am combining Recessionista VS Fashionista and Weekend Inspiration today.
This weekend is going to be a goodie- weather wise... so throw on that freakem' dress and booties and party and be FABULOUS!!!

BeBe (a re-occuring defender for the Recessionoistas) has served up a GREAT recession friendly option to the Alexander Wang Mesh dress.

I actually LOVE the BeBe option... looks JUST like the Alexander Wang Dress... I'm pretty sure there is a slight difference in shell fabrication... but all in all... pretty dope... and under $60.00- can't beat that!

Great dress to cop and rock this weekend....

Dollhouse offers a slight variation in the Balmain Zipper bootie. I don't know if Dollhouse does the Balmin justice.... hmmmm....
